Curricula for students of Design majors and those from the Inter-Disciplinary Bachelor's Program (IDBP):
  • Students joining NTUST since 2008 who major in Industrial Design and enroll in Industrial Design Senior Project I are required to complete the following six prerequisite courses: (1) Basic Design I, (2) Basic Design II, (3) Basic Product Design I, (4) Basic Product Design II, (5) Product Design I and (6) Product Design II. Those who enroll in Industrial Design Studio Project II must complete the following seven courses as the prerequisites: (1) Basic Design I, (2) Basic Design II, (3) Basic Product Design I, (4) Basic Product Design II, (5) Product Design I, (6) Product Design II and Industrial Design Senior Project I.
  • Students joining NTUST after 2010 who are from the Inter-Disciplinary Bachelor's Program and intend to include DICD's Industrial Design as one of their double majors are required to complete the following courses first: (1) Basic Design I, (2) Basic Design II, (3) Model Making, (4) Basic Product Design I and (5) Design Presentation Techniques I.
Notes for students enrolling in DICD:
  • Starting from 2008, a policy of course selection based on hierarchical prerequisite restrictions has been implemented in the Department. The sequence of courses to be taken in the Industrial Design Group are listed on the basis of priority as the following: (1) Basic Design I, (2) Basic Design II, (3) Basic Product Design I, (4) Basic Product Design II, (5) Product Design I, (6) Product Design II, (7) Industrial Design Senior Project I and (8) Industrial Design Senior Project II. The courses listed before a specific course must be completed as its prerequisites.
  • Students entering NTUST after 2010 who intend to major in DICD for the Industrial Design Group have the following four courses as the prerequisites for the course of Product Design I: (1) Basic Design I, (2) Basic Design II, (3) Basic Product Design I and (4) Basic Product Design II. The course of Product Design II has the following prerequisites: (1) Basic Design I, (2) Basic Design II, (3) Basic Product Design I, (4) Basic Product Design II and (5) Product Design I.
