The Peanut Sofa is made with two sheets of plain polypropylene–a recyclable and low-cost material. The polypropylene sheets that compose the Peanut Sofa are just 3mm and 10mm thick, but the folding technique applied to them generates a structural geometry that is suitable for supporting the body’s weight. The sheets are cut using the CNC milling technique (which requires few resources), and are folded and interlocked to create the sofa form. The lower sheet acts as base and the upper one acts as a seat and back support. The self-lock structure enables the user to assemble the sofa without any fasteners or accessories. The polypropylene sheets can be efficiently stored and transported in their unfolded state. The disassembled sofa can be easily recycled at the end of its life. The use of a single material enhances the sofa’s recyclability. Peanut Sofa是由兩張PP板材料上下結合而成的沙發椅，一張為上層的椅面、一張為下層的基座，透過折線設計的摺疊方式，在單張的外圍各產生具一定強度的結構，當使用者坐在椅面上時，力量皆會傳達到椅面橢圓形的外框，而基座橢圓形外框必給予椅面一反作用力，當作用力與反作用力作用在同一橢圓形的外框上，再將力量傳達至地板，達到支撐的作用；共可乘坐2~3人，因為外型與結構都和花生的形狀與外殼結構非常相似，因此取名為Peanut Sofa。
