浴缸邊緣的高度以及潮濕的環境造成使用者在跨出浴缸時，極容易發生跌落或滑倒的情況，尤其對高齡者或是行動不方便的人更是一種困擾。此概念將半邊的浴缸設計為可充氣材質，並利用管線配置與按摩浴缸原本的馬達共用，進行充氣與洩氣。洩氣後，減少了浴缸與地面的段差，使用者即可輕易的跨越浴缸。除此之外，充氣浴缸也提供一種更加節省空間的選擇，除了泡澡外，平常時也可以做為淋浴空間與洗澡椅的功用，妥善利用空間，並同時保持浴室地面乾燥。此概念讓潛藏危險性的浴室空間更加安全並且讓使用情境能更加方便。 It can be dangerous and inconvenient to get out of a bathtub especially for those who are elderly or disabled. Because a bathtub has a high wall and the floor around it is often wet, it is easy for people to slip and fall while getting out. The design concept consists of making part of the bathtub inflatable. An air pump inside the bathtub inflates the flexible vinyl portion of the tub. After bathing, user can release the air and then get out of the bathtub very easily and safely. In its un-inflated form, bathtub can be a shower to keep the area dry and reduce the risk of slipping and falling. In addition to safety, the inflatable bathtub saves space and its air pump can transform the tub into a jacuzzi by propelling water out of built-in jets. Thus, the inflatable bathtub makes a potentially dangerous area such as the bathtub or shower much safer, while being convenient and versatile as well.
