The Influence Light comes with a chained-light balls lamp along with a separated independent light ball. The independent light ball is used to manipulate the lights that come from different sections on the chained-light balls lamp. 

The lamp has three signal receptors that respond to the independent light ball, and when it is placed on any of the receptors, the light will spread out as if the surrounding is being influenced.
