People often forget that they are threatening the animals while living a luxurious life,

 for example, shark finning for delicacies and pushing them to the brink of extinction.

To address this issue in a humorous fashion:

the shark, hoping not to be finned, painted itself like the adorable dolphins to survive.

Spare Me, Please! – please don’t skin me (Crocodile)
