‘KONGSI’ is a cross-cultural project which depicts the sharing courtesy behind a journey from Malaysia to Taiwan. The final outcome is an infographics design that can be presented as gift for each other based on the concept of reciprocity. In Taiwan, some people speak a dialect (‘Tai Yu’) which some Malaysians have been used to speak as well. KONGSI literally means ‘sharing’ in Malay Language yet it means collaboration or association in Taiwanese dialect. Sharing courtesy is one the cores of Confucianism in Chinese community based on the saying ‘Courtesy calls for reciprocity, one good turn deserves another’.
