窗沪 Chuāng hù  Shanghai windows

This series was originated from a simple idea: I wanted to create a sentimental design for Shanghai, the city I had been living for so long. The concept came to me when I was roaming the city and fascinated by the delicate details of its architectures. Just like windows serve as the entrance to our understanding of a building. Details of the architectures explain their history and the architectures themselves convey part of the city’s culture. This process is like opening one window after another, to a larger and more attractive city. More importantly, more and more charming but old buildings are disappearing due to the rapid modernization of Shanghai, I hope I can contribute to recording their charms beforehand.

  这套作品最初源于一个念头：想为上海这个我一直身处的城市做一个赋予情感的创作。直到有次在城市漫步被建筑物精致的细节所吸引。，就好像窗户是了解事物的入口一样，。建筑的细节同样也诠释着一栋建筑的历史，建筑本身又是是对城市文化的体现。这个过程就好像是推开了一扇又一扇的窗户，意识一个更大更有魅力的世界，另外一个原因是随着上海高速的现代化进程，越来越多富有魅力但是老旧的建筑被拆除，在这之前，我希望能记录下它的美。
