外盒利用紙材層層堆疊的效果，結合西方鐘錶齒輪與台灣海棠花窗的元素，設計出精緻的鏤空紙雕圖樣，呈現出現代與傳統融合的新風貌。內包裝以時鐘的圓形作為排列方式，並結合了中華文化中表達時間的「八卦」符號與文字。外蓋則可拆開，並折為中國古代的時鐘「日晷」，除了呼應設計主題，更兼具教育意義，讓消費者在品嚐百香果時，也能在陽光下體驗古代人計時的智慧。
This passion fruit gift box is made entirely from recycled paper, using minimal single-color printing to maximize recyclability. While prioritizing environmental sustainability, the design centers around the fruit’s alternate name, “clock fruit.”
The outer box features a layered paper structure that combines Western clock gears with the begonia-patterned window grilles commonly seen in Taiwan, forming a delicate cutout paper sculpture that blends modern aesthetics with traditional elements. Inside, the packaging adopts a circular arrangement inspired by a clock face, incorporating Chinese “bagua” symbols and time-related characters to reflect traditional timekeeping concepts.
The outer lid can be detached and folded into a sundial, an ancient Chinese timekeeping tool, reinforcing the design theme while adding an educational layer—allowing consumers to experience the wisdom of ancient timekeeping under sunlight as they enjoy the passion fruit.
